Spicy Chicken Wings - Air Fryer Chicken Wings!

Updated: Nov 24, 2020

These chicken wings are everyone's favorite and easy to make in the air fryer. I have the Ninja Air fryer (My Amazon link )! Making chicken wings can be a messy long process in the oven but the air fryer wings are super easy. They are crunchy as if they were fried and take half the time as the oven would.

The recipe for the wings is easy to make and you may never order them from a restaurant again! The sauce makes them sooo yummy and can vary based on your taste buds...as we know I like them spicy! Or you can have them with sauce on the side! Make sure to have blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing to dip them in!

Ingredients

2 lb. chicken wings

1 tsp kosher salt

1 tsp freshly ground black pepper

1 tsp garlic powder (for the crunchy)

1 tsp baking powder (NOT baking soda)

PAM (non stick cooking oil)

dash of white sesame seeds

crunchy veggies

Sauce

1/4 cup of the Nando's PERI_PERI Sauce(can use any and is optional)

1 tsp honey - optional

4 tbsp melted unsalted butter

1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce

1/2 tsp garlic powder

Blue cheese dressing for serving (can use any dressing)

PROCESS

  1. In a large bowl mix chicken wings with kosher salt, freshly ground black pepper, garlic powder and baking powder. Season well

  2. Coat the inside of the air fryer with the nonstick cooking spray (PAM)

  3. Place the wings in the air fryer and remember not to overcrowd them.

  4. Set the air fryer to 390 degrees and cook the wings for 12 minutes.

  5. Remove the air fryer tray and flip the wings and cook for another 10 minutes

  6. Increase the heat to 400 degrees and cook for another 5 minutes.

  7. Meanwhile, in a large bowl whisk to make the sauce.

  8. Whisk, butter, hot sauce, garlic powder, worcestershire sauce, honey.

  9. Add the wings and toss until evenly coated.

  10. Serve hot with dressing of your choice!

Remember to experiment...these are delicious even without the sauce (I sample so many without the sauce), add more spices to the wings before cooking, or have the sauce on the side!

ENJOY!!
