Veggie Chickpea Burgers - are you sure there's no meat in them!

Growing up with the fabulous aromas of spices was a normal thing for me. I thought i'd share the spices i grew up with




What my favorite thing is about Veggie Chickpea Burgers


They are easy to make and so tasty...hard to believe they are veggie!




Veggie Chickpea Burgers

Get ready to WOW the people you're feeding!

1 can (about 2 cups- 19oz) of chickpeas – drain and rinse well

½ red onion, finely chopped

1 small to medium zucchini, grated (make sure there is no liquid)

3 tbsb finely chopped cilantro or coriander(I didn’t even know the difference)

3 tbsb red wine vinegar or red wineJ

1 tbsp sriracha sauce or any other hot sauce you like to give it some spice – optional – dependent on your spice level – I like it spicy!!

2 tbsp natural peanut butter

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp garlic powder

2 tsp black pepper (optional)

Dash of sea salt

1 cup quick oats

2 tbsp olive oil

Mash up the chickpeas (I used my hands..but you can use a blender if you want) I like the texture.

Mix all the ingredients

Make balls ( I made 8)

Fry 3-5 minutes per side on med-high heat.
